(Ages ago) during my college years, a friend told me he could only study for exams with MTV on the TV as ‘background noise’. I even tried it myself but could not concentrate… I did not understand, how could you study with all that distracting noise?

Fast forward… many many years. I find myself working on the computer with back to back episodes of anything with more than 100 episodes available on Netflix. I don’t even pay attention to it. I just need it on so I can concentrate on my work.

I used to like silence. What’s happened? Do you have any unusual concentration aid methods?
